William Steinberg & Boston Symphony Orchestra: William Steinberg & Boston Symphony Orchestra – The Deutsche Grammophon Recordings 3LP

William Steinberg

Only three recordings were made by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and its then principal conductor William Steinberg for Deutsche Grammophon in 1970/71, but these recordings of 20th century masterpieces are still considered unsurpassed today. In a 3 LP set (3 gatefolds in a slipcase), Holst's The Planets, Strauss's Also sprach Zarathustra and Hindemith's Mathis der Maler Suite as well as his Concert Music for Strings and Brass are released together.

The Original Source is a new series of celebrated albums reissued on vinyl. The renowned Berlin-based Emil Berliner Studios are remastering 4-track recordings from the 1970s, using their own cutting-edge and 100% pure analogue techniques (AAA) to create versions of the highest possible audio quality. More clarity, more details and a better frequency response, the highest possible audiophile quality which gives listeners the chance to enjoy this repertoire like never before.
